I use wireless headphones mainly for listening to NPR and/or music radio while I am outside gardening and landscaping. I saw that a landscaper friend of mine had these and he was satisfied with them, so I figured I would give them a try. (My wireless stereo headphones died several months ago, and since then I have been desperately trying to find another pair. I even tried Sennheisers and was greatly disappointed with pathetic range and other limitations.)Pros : Comfortable fit, not too snug. Works great with rechargeable batteries, which I recommend using. Sound is decent enough for talk radio as well as most music. You can memory-set up to 8 of your favorite stations. Antenna is built-in, so there are no transmitter issues - you can take these anywhere, even on a walk! Noise-cancelling works fine, and you can hear more or less outside noise depending upon what you listen to, as well as volume. I cannot... These are good quality noise reduction headphones (not to be confused with noise isolation headphones). The noise reduction is rather good; one can work comfortably around loud machinery, such as lawn equipment. The audio that comes from the radio is quite crisp as well. In light of that, they make good radio headphones as well.However, changing the stations can be slow and cumbersome. You changes stations by twisting a knob on one of the earpieces. Every twist (registered with a solid "click) changes the station by .1. But, the knob does not register speedy turns, so you must twist the knob slowly and deliberately. Changing the station from, say 93.1 to 105.9, can take a long time. Also, although I did not get the chance to treat the device roughly, I'm not sure it could withstand much trauma, as the head cradle is thin metal wire over a leather strap, which could bend easily. I have been using this headphones while doing chores in my yard. First of all they are not too big and clunky. They slip over the ear very easily . I used it while using a leaf blower, it worked pretty well. This will not total block out all the noise but it does work great as a noise reducer. The radio was ok but not the greatest. But it was easy to plug in my Ipod to use, overall a very good product... |
